The good news: Avalon chef Brandon Crouser is OK. The bad news: His Honda Civic isn’t.
The chef was leaving his south Scottsdale restaurant Saturday morning en route to the Old Town Farmers Market. As he pulled out onto McDowell Road, he was struck by a Ford F-150 pickup.
“It’s the first accident I’ve every been in,” he says.
The pickup, he says, didn’t suffer any noticeable damage, but his older-model Civic was “totaled.”
Sunday morning, thanks to his girlfriend’s car, a seemingly unscathed Crouser was back creating salads (pictured above) at the Seacat Gardens booth at the Ahwatukee Farmers Market.
