A beer garden called The Art of Beer and featuring locally brewed ales makes its debut this weekend at the Tempe Spring Festival of the Arts.
The twice-a-year festival, which draws nearly 250,000 people, launched a local wine garden several years ago. This year, The Art of Beer will be set up next to it.
At the Arizona Wine Garden, 12 Arizona wineries will offer tastings and servings ($12 for 6 tastings plus souvenir glass; market price for wines by the glass). Wine also will be available by the bottle or case.
At The Art of Beer, three Tempe breweries – Four Peaks, Sleepy Dog and Dave’s Electric – will offer tastings or glasses ($10 for 5 tastings; $5 per glass).
