Six Valley food and beverage veterans have joined forces to open Garage Public House in the former Vine Tavern space in Ahwatukee.
According to co-owner Doug Collins (Tavern on Mill):
It’s going to be more upscale than a sports bar, but more comfortable than going to a nightclub. We want to provide an environment for a date, a girls or guys night out, but not have a chaotic VIP line or dancing.
The decor fosters an auto shop motif with booths that look like vintage car seats. Waitresses wear mechanic-like outfits.
A similarly named Garage Restaurant & Bar recently opened in north Phoenix.
