Sample more than 100 homemade salsas at the My Nana’s Best Tasting Salsa Challenge, which runs 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Tempe Beach Park.
Teams will be competing in three divisions – individual, business and restaurant – and each division will have hot and mild categories. The event’s grand champion will win $1,000.
A Margarita Mix-Off from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. will feature Valley bartenders competing for $500.
Live music will be provided by Race You There, Champagne Tap, Kongos and HeadRoom.
Tickets are $10 for general admission ($8 at any Fry’s in the Valley) or $50 for VIP.
