The Strand, a fast-casual Italian eatery, is scheduled to open in July at CityScape in downtown Phoenix.
Ernest Vega, a former regional manager for fast-casual Italian pioneer Pasta Pomodoro, and Jimmy Carlin are behind the concept. The pair also have a previously announced restaurant, Silk Sushi, coming to CityScape.
The Strand will have salads, sandwiches, pasta and flatbread pizzas.
The openings of Silk Sushi, Huey’s 24/7 Diner and La Crepe Nanou have been pushed back to fall, about a year behind schedule.
