The Arizona Republic reports federals agents are raiding Chuy’s Mesquite Broiler restaurants in Arizona and California today.
A spokesman for Immigration and Customs Enforcement says Chuy’s owner Mark Evenson of Paradise Valley and his son, Christopher Evenson of Oro Valley, hired illegal immigrants and paid them under the table.
About 40 suspected illegal immigrants have been detained.
Chuy’s has six restaurants in the Valley.
