La Piazza Al Forno in Glendale is the third Arizona pizzeria to receive official certification from the Verace Pizza Napoletana, a sort of Italian pizza police.
The VPN sets standards for making authentic Naples-style pizza. Only 35 U.S. pizzerias have passed, including Pomo Pizzeria Napoletana in Scottsdale and Vero Amore in Tucson.
La Piazza Al Forno passed its inspection Wednesday.
