Thirsty Cactus Cantina takes over Tio Oso’s in Queen Creek

By Jess Harter Friday, April 22, 2011

Tio Oso’s, the Mexican restaurant that took over the former Uncle Bear’s location on Power Road south of Pecos in Queen Creek last July, has been converted into the Thirsty Cactus Cantina.

The new owners are Mark Setterington, who ran Margaritaville on the Las Vegas Strip, and his brother Peter, who’s heading the kitchen.

Despite the “cantina” moniker, the Thirsty Cactus is a neighborhood sports bar with burgers ($7.99-$8.99), sandwiches ($8.49-$10.99), pizzas ($9.49-$9.99) and a few entrees ($11.99-$18.99).
