Chipotle Mexican Grill – which has heavily promoted its use of “naturally raised” chickens, cattle and pigs for years – is having trouble finding enough chickens.
After an Orange County (Calif.) Register reader noticed a local Chipotle wasn’t using “natural” chicken, the fast-casual chain responded today:
We have experienced a disruption in our naturally raised chicken supply and can’t get enough naturally raised chicken for all of our restaurants. We are working to get that resolved and hope to be back to serving naturally raised chicken in all of our restaurants again soon.
The company said most of its restaurants in California have been affected, but admits there are “sporadic disruptions” across the country.
