Paletas Betty, the downtown Chandler shop that sells handmade Mexican ice and cream pops, opened its spinoff location in downtown Tempe today. The new store is located on the northeast corner of Mill and Fifth.
Flavors change daily at both locations. The opening-day lineup in Tempe:
- Puro mango (fresh mango)
- Fresa con crema (strawberries and cream)
- Platano (bananas Foster)
- Arroz con leche (rice pudding)
- Chocolate (Mexican hot chocolate)
- Mango con chile (mango with chile powder)
- Limón amarillo (lemon drop)
- Nuez (roasted pecan)
- Arándano (blueberry lemonade)
- Cereza (Amaretto with brandied cherries)
