Each day during Arizona Restaurant Week (Sept. 17-25), MXSW looks at a special three-course dinner menu being offered by a participating East Valley restaurant.
Today: Cork, the award-winning fine-dining restaurant in south Chandler.
First course (choose one):
- Heirloom tomato salad with basil nage, burrata, olive oil & aged balsamic vinegar
- White runner bean soup with duck broth, confit leg, root vegetable & sage
- Roasted scallop with house bacon, potato latke, fines herb crème fraîche & watercress salad
Second course (choose one):
- Striped bass & shellfish with white wine tomato broth, linguiça sausage, fennel, onion & adobo
- Berkshire pork loin with squished potato, elephant garlic purée, roasted mushrooms & Zinfandel sauce
- Braised beef short rib with sweet Italian sausage risotto, peppers, arugula & raising jus
Third course (choose one):
- Mango mousse with black sesame shortbread, crystallized ginger and toasted coconut
- Flight of three housemade fruit sorbets infused with wine
- Creme brulee with caramelized sugar and fresh raspberries
Cost is $40 per person.
