Pittsburgh Willy’s to start breakfast

By Jess Harter Friday, October 7, 2011

Pittsburgh Willy’s, the popular gourmet hot dog shop just north of downtown Chandler, will start offering breakfast next weekend – just in time to take advantage of its new patio.

If you can’t wait, diners can sample some of the upcoming menu items this Sunday, Oct. 9.

Besides standards like eggs, bacon and sausage, owner Randy Walters and consulting chef Brandon Crouser have developed several specialty items, such as bread-pudding-like French toast (with or without fried egg), a green chile pork burro and biscuits & gravy.

Most prices will be in the affordable $4-$6 range. The breakfast menu will be available 7 to 11 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

This Sunday, as work continues on Pittsburgh Willy’s new kitchen, the restaurant will be selling $5 sampler plates of various breakfast menu items – whatever is available at that moment.
