SanTan Brewing and Liberty Market are brewing up something special for the holidays: A seasonal beer.
Liberty Market partners Joe Johnston and David Traina showed up at the downtown Chandler brewery Wednesday to make 10 pounds of the Gilbert eatery’s signature chai tea, which, in turn, was used by brewmaster Anthony Canecchia to make the beer (the trio is pictured above).
The result is a caramel-spiced amber ale that’s been dubbed 12 Daze because it features 12 ingredients, including caramel, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and nutmeg. The lightly hopped beer is expected to weigh in around 6.5% ABV.
It’s not the first time SanTan and Liberty have colloborated – the chai beer actually made its debut at a Liberty community dinner earlier this year.
Look for 12 Daze – with its cool-looking tap-handle logo (pictured) designed by Michal Mason – to hit taps Nov. 9 at SanTan and Nov. 14 at Liberty.
