Casa Ramos, a popular Mexican restaurant in Heber, has opened a second location on Main Street between Stapley and Gilbert roads in Mesa.
The extensive menu offers 27 lunch specials ($6.50-$7.95, available until 3 p.m. weekdays) and 25 dinner specials ($8.25-$11.25), plus a variety of beef, chicken and seafood entrees.
House specialities include a combo of steak, chicken and prawns with spicy salsa ($14.50), crispy pork carnitas with warm green chile salsa ($11.95) and seared tilipia filets in a buttery garlic sauce ($12.25).
Ben Ramos opened his White Mountain area restaurant in 2006. The Mesa location, which opened Saturday, is managed by his son, Kenny.
