Sleepy Dog seeks help in naming its new summer beer Jan. 13

Tempe brewery Sleepy Dog is asking for help in naming its new summer beer.

A sample of the Belgian-style blonde ale infused with blue agave nectar will be tapped at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13.

Only those in attendance can submit suggested names to be used when the beer hits Valley restaurants and bars this spring.

Unlike the brewery’s other beers (Tail Chaser, Red Rover, etc.), the summer ale’s name doesn’t have to be dog-related.

The person whose suggestion is chosen will win a day at the brewery making the first batch. Three runners-up will get $20 gift certificates.
