Not all Taco Bells in East Valley are offering chain’s new breakfast menu

By Jess Harter Thursday, January 26, 2012

Before heading to Taco Bell to try out its much-hyped new breakfast menu, be aware that some, if not most, of the fast-food chain’s Arizona restaurants aren’t offering it.

That’s what I discovered when I rolled into my local Taco Bell this morning to sample its new breakfast items – like a Johnsonville sausage and egg wrap (pictured) –  that were introduced this morning, according to numerous media accounts.

As a staffer explained to me: Only company-owned locations are selling breakfast. Franchise locations are not. (And the chain’s website does not differentiate the two.)

Taco Bell is one of the few fast-food chains that haven’t jumped into the breakfast game – the only growing segment of the market – although it experimented with some breakfast items a few years ago.
