Get a steak dinner for 75 cents at Monti’s La Casa Vieja on Feb. 14

Monti's La Casa Vieja Tempe AZMonti’s La Casa Vieja is celebrating Arizona’s Centennial on Feb. 14 with 75-cent steak dinners – the price one would have paid in 1912.

Starting at 9:12 a.m. that day, the first 100 customers at Tempe’s oldest restaurant will receive a sirloin steak, two sides and Monti’s signature Roman bread for 75 cents.

The restaurant’s regular menu also will be available at regular prices.

Monti’s, which sits on the corner of Mill and Rio Salado, was built as Tempe founder Charles Trumbull Hayden’s home in 1871. It’s been a restaurant and bar since Hayden moved out in the 1889.
