Lucky Break to attempt to give away 1,000 burgers Sunday afternoon

Lucky Break, a recently opened sports bar and billiards lounge in Tempe, is giving away free half-pound hamburgers and cheeseburgers on Sunday.

The offer is available to dine-in patrons only between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. No other purchase is necessary (see details).

“Football season is over now and we wanted to generate some excitement while giving back to our neighbors in the community,” says general manager Jared Fenix. “We are very proud of our burgers and know that once you’ve had a taste of our food, you’ll become a regular.”

Lucky Break is located in the Peter Piper plaza on the southeast corner of Baseline Road and McClintock Drive. The restaurant hopes to give away 1,000 burgers Sunday.

“I don’t know if we can make it, but we’re sure as heck going to try,” Fenix says. “I guess a lot will depend on how quickly we can serve the folks that come through the door and how fast they eat in order to make room for the next group.”
