Today’s AZ Beer Week highlights: Shuffleboard, Cigar & Beer Fest

Arizona Beer Week runs through Saturday. Here are some of today’s highlights:

Shuffleboard Tournament

Play shuffleboard at Papago Brewing with brewers and reps from several breweries from 4 -6 p.m., followed by an evening with New Belgium brewer Lauren Salazar from 6-8 p.m. Salazar will bring several limited-release beers, including Cocoa Mole.

Cigar & Beer Festival

Fox Cigar Bar in Gilbert hosts this inaugural event, which will feature 12 beers (eight core beers and four special ones) from Four Peaks, from 4-10 p.m. There also will be cigar vendors, live music and homemade BBQ.

California Beer Tasting

The Watering Hole at Whole Foods Chandler spotlights California brewers, including Lagunitas (only keg of Hop Stoopid in Arizona), Coronado, Stone, Mission, Ballast Point, Green Flash, Eel River, Sierra Nevada and Lost Coast, from 6-9 p.m.
