Congrats to Paletas Betty owner Beatriz “Betty” Alatorre, who was the overall winner at the annual Caramelpalooza caramel-dessert contest in Phoenix over the weekend.
Alatorre’s creation was a Bananas Foster Caramel Paleta. The winning paleta (a Mexican popsicle) is one of the eight flavors available today at both the Chandler and Tempe locations of Paletas Betty.

- Best Non-Traditional Caramel:Â Tammie Coe, Tammie Coe Cakes, for Concord Grape Caramel Tadpoles
