My Wine Cellar & Bistro in Ahwatukee will host its first-ever beer dinner Tuesday, March 27, with downtown Chandler’s SanTan Brewing Co.
In October, My Wine Cellar was bought by Zoya Vora-Shah (pictured), formerly a sales representative with Quail Distributing.
Chef Sara Baer, a graduate of the Scottsdale Culinary Institute, has worked at two acclaimed New York restaurants – Aureole and Aquavit – and served as executive sous chef at the Royal Palms Resort & Spa in Phoenix.
Baer began overhauling the My Wine Cellar’s menu in December. Beside a monthly wine or beer dinner, the bistro offers wine classes and a book club.
The five-course menu and pairings for the March 27 dinner:
- Chef’s choice amuse-bouche with special seasonal beer
- Tempura avocado, bacon and citrus salad with Devil’s Ale
- Samosas with HopShock IPA
- Fish & chips with Epicenter Amber Ale
- Bananas with chocolate sauce and spicy nuts with HefeWeizen
