If you can’t wait until Saturday’s Food Truck Round Up at Superstition Farm, you can sate your food-truck jones tonight when the southeast Mesa dairy hosts a Pop Up Pig Out.
For $15, get all you can eat from four food trucks: Luncha Libre, Epic Hot Dogs, Q Up BBQ, and, of course, the farm’s own SuperFarm SuperTruck.
The event will run concurrently with Superstition’s weekly farmers market (held Thursdays from 4:30-7:30), where you can sample and buy produce, baked goods, meat, and dairy products.
During the family-friendly market, you also get free admission to the farm’s petting zoo. There’ll be $1 hayrides, $1 feed for the cows, and $3 bottles for the baby calves.
If you’re planning to go to Saturday’s event (read preview), which expects to draw 20+ food trucks, remember tickets (which are capped at 2,500 to prevent overcrowding) must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at the gates.
First look at Postino
Saturday is your chance to get a first look at the new Postino Wine Café in downtown Gilbert. Postino is hosting an open house from 2-5 p.m. with complimentary wine, bruschetta, and live music.
Admission is $25 for adults and $10 for kids, but it all goes to charity. You can buy tickets here.
The restaurant officially opens Monday.
Marin’s Abbey Special at Flanny’s
How rare is Marin Brewing Company‘s Abbey Special? Until this month, the Belgian-style Dubbel (7.1% ABV) hadn’t been available on tap – even at the California brewery itself – in eight years.
So it’ll be a big deal for East Valley beer geeks when Flanny’s in Tempe taps what may be Arizona’s only keg at 6 p.m. today.
