If you’re like me, your allergies already have informed you the olive trees are blooming in the East Valley. I guess this makes it official:
Queen Creek Olive Mill kicks off its two-weekend Olive Blossom Festival today in its grove.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the free event includes:
- Wine tasting, courtesy of Valley of the Sun Fine Wines
- Product tasting, courtesy of Renee’s Desert Rub
- Live music by Rhythm & The Rose
Del Piero, the mill’s Tuscan-inspired eatery, recently expanded to 120 seats inside and 60 outside.
An espresso bar, operated by Superstition Coffee, also has been added.
The retail store now offers 14 flavored olive oils – including its most recent addition, bacon-flavored – and 200 different wines.
The festival continues through next April 6.
