Native New Yorker, a regular hangout for many East Valley wing-lovers, won the “King of Wings” trophy at Wingstock Saturday at Mesa Amphitheatre.

The annual festival features chicken wings and live music.

Native New Yorker, which originally opened as LaMonica’s Pizza Place in 1979, has grown to 22 restaurants in Arizona, 12 in the East Valley.

Teakwoods Tavern & Grill, which has restaurants in Chandler and Gilbert, won “Hottest Wings” Saturday.
