SanTan Brewing goes ‘Commando’ tonight

Little-known movie fact: “Die Hard” was actually a sequel.

After the box-office success of the 1985 Arnold Schwarzenegger flick “Commando,” the studio commissioned a follow-up but The Ahnold wasn’t interested.

So the title was changed to “Die Hard, TV actor Bruce Willis was hired to play the hero, and the rest is cinematic history.

See “Commando” tonight as SanTan Brewing continues to pay homage to ’80s action films this month with its Monday Night Movies series.

The movie, which also stars Rae Dawn Chong and a 12-year-old Alyssa Milano, starts at 9 p.m. The event includes free popcorn and drink specials.
