Urban Picnic, the lunch-only eatery that opened in April 2011 in downtown Mesa, is getting new owners.
Chris Ackerland, who opened the restaurant with his father, made the announcement today on Facebook:
I have decided to sell the brand and restaurant and pursue starting a new company. The Urban Picnic food and customer service will stay the same. I have had the pleasure of selling the business to long time customers, Rio Understiller and Chase Barrett.
Urban Picnic serves a variety of tasty sandwiches in ready-to-go cardboard boxes.
