There’s still time to enter Flancer’s 12th annual charity Pizza Eating Contest, which will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Gilbert restaurant.
Jimmy Peng of Scottsdale ate 16 slices – the equivalent of two 18-inch cheese pizzas – in 15 minutes to win the $500 first-place prize at last year’s event, which drew 21 competitors.
The entry fee is $30 and includes a T-shirt. The public is invited to watch the patio event. Info: 480-926-9077.
