OK, maybe it’s not officially BBQ Week in the East Valley, but it’s a great week for ‘cue fans.
- Today: New BBQ restaurant Porkopolis opens at Arizona Avenue and the 202 in Chandler. (Look for more info about this later today.)
- Wednesday: It’s the annual Free BBQ Day at Joe’s Real BBQ in Gilbert.
- Thursday: Can’t Stop Smokin’ Bar-B-Q opens at I-10 and Chandler Boulevard in Chandler.
Whew! To paraphrase Lloyd Bridges in “Airplane,” looks like I picked the wrong week to give up meat!
