Loco Patron Mexican Grill, which already has locations in Scottsdale and Ahwatukee, is adding another.
A third restaurant will open in the eight-story Tempe Gateway building on the northeast corner of Mill and Third Street in downtown Tempe.
The 5,000-square-foot space on the ground floor will be part sports bar, part patio bar.
Loco Patron won Best Pork Taco at last year’s Arizona Taco Festival. It’s also been honored for Best Margarita by Arizona Republic readers.
A fall opening is planned.
