South Tempe craft beer bar Flanny’s is adding more tap handles. Owner John Flanagan Sr. says he plans to put in another 10 taps – bringing his total to 32 – this year.
Flanny’s will need them to accommodate its monthly series of tap takeovers. The May event takes place tonight with Sierra Nevada, which is bringing a whopping 20 of its beers:

- Southern Hemisphere Harvest
- Hoptimum
- Ovila Dubbel
- Ovila Quad

- Brown Ale
- Blonde Ale
- Best Bitter
- Flipside IIPA
- Porter
The fun starts at 6:30 p.m. As a bonus, enjoy live music by Shelby James at 7 p.m.
Flanagan says the tap takeovers already are booked for the rest of the year. Next month’s will feature beers from Odell Brewing on June 21.
