ATL Wings Your Way, a chicken wings concept that started in Atlanta and has a couple locations in Illinois, opens at 11 a.m. today on the northeast corner of McQueen and Elliot, next to Filiberto’s, in Gilbert. The restaurant offers wings in 10 flavors.
It’s actually the second ATL Wings in the East Valley. Company founder Anthony Yates sold a franchise to another restaurateur, who opened on the northwest corner of Arizona Avenue and Warner in Chandler a few months ago. It took Yates a little longer to secure his E.V. location.
The menus of the two restaurants are a little different. The Chandler location offers wings in 13 flavors, along with deep-fried items like chicken tenders, pork tenderloins, chicken breasts, and catfish. Yates’ Gilbert menu will include barbecue.
I’ve had the wings at the Chandler location, and they’re among the best in the Valley. I especially enjoyed the dry seasoned variety. And be sure to save room for honey biscuits for dessert!
