Some free advice for AZ Central: Stop recycling old food & drink stories and pretending they’re new information. The top food story on AZ Central’s home page today – Top 10 wine bars in Greater Phoenix (pictured above) – has this blurb about DownUnder Wines & Bistro in Gilbert:
Later in December, they’re opening an adjacent space, the Reserve Room, with at least 500 boutique selections at retail cost that you can purchase and drink either there or at Down Under for a corkage fee.
Of course, this sentence made more sense when knowledgable freelancer Geri Koeppel wrote it last November – and when this story originally ran Dec. 1, 2011. You’d think if AZ Central was going to change the date to “Jun. 18, 2012 12:24 PM” and try to pass it off as fresh info, it would at least update it.
