Rita’s Italian Ice, which opened today next to Mellow Mushroom in downtown Tempe, is giving out free Italian ices until 10 tonight. The chain also offers frozen custard and ice-custard blends. It’s the fourth Arizona location, but first in the East Valley. Another soon will open at McClintock and Elliot.
