On Thursday, July 19, D’Vine Bistro and Wine Bar in Chandler will host a five-course dinner showcasing Rutherford Hill, a California winery known for its well-regarded but reasonably priced Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
One of the more intriguing pairings: Rutherford Hill’s 2007 Merlot with D’Vine’s version of “a cheeseburger and fries.” In this case, think fresh-ground Rocky Mountain elk sirloin patty on a potato cake topped with bleu cheese, Italian bacon, cherry-glazed mushrooms and fried potato strings.
See the full menu and pairings here. The dinner, limited to 20 people, is $65 per person and starts at 7 p.m. RSVP: 480-782-5550 or online.
