New Belgium will be the subject of this week’s Friday Beer Class at Whole Foods Chandler, which will have the Fort Collins, Colo., brewery’s Brett Beer wild ale, 1554 enlightened black ale, and Belgo IPA on tap.
The much-buzzed-about Brett, a collaboration with California’s Lost Abbey, is part of New Belgium’s limited-edition Lips of Faith series. Classified as an American wild ale, Brett is made with a wild yeast strain called Brettanomyces. It has a citrus-y, slightly sour flavor.
Whole Foods’ James Swann also promises a few surprises from the Lips of Faith series tonight. The class starts at 7 p.m.
