Mark’s Cafe is no stranger to helping out those in need.
The Tempe mom-and-pop restaurant was on the receiving end of such generosity in 2010, when local businesses, customers, and volunteers banded together to help the struggling Culinary Solutions Cafe remodel and rebrand itself as Mark’s Cafe.
Now the cafe is helping one of its own – its only server, Diane Allen (pictured), who recently was injured in a car accident.
From 4:30-8:30 p.m today, owners Mark and Karen Vojtek will hold an all-you-can-eat pasta bar fundraiser. Diners can enjoy four different pastas, four sauces, rolls, and salad.
All proceeds from the donations-only pasta bar will go to Allen’s medical bills.
