Foie Gras Burger, anyone? Burger Daze will return to Liberty Market in August

Liberty Market brings back its annual Burger Daze promotion in August – 31 days of specialty burgers featuring flavors from around the world.

A different burger will be offered every day, starting with a Tater Tot Burger (pictured) on Aug. 1 and capped off with a Foie Gras Burger on Aug. 31.

This year’s lineup includes three vegetarian and two seafood “burgers.” There’s even a Dessert Burger (Aug. 9) made with brownie “patty” and vanilla cupcake “bun.”

Prices will vary depending on market prices. All patties are Harris Ranch all-natural 80/20 ground chuck unless noted.

Burger Daze schedule

  • Aug. 1: Tater Tot Burger (topped with tater tots and American cheese)
  • Aug. 2: Jalapeno Butter Burger (topped with a roasted jalapeno compound butter and served with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles)
  • Aug. 3: Texas Chainsaw Chili Burger (topped with a Texas chainsaw chili, shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onions)
  • Aug. 4: Pepperonata Parmesan Burger (topped with parmesan cheese and a mixture of slow roasted peppers and marinara sauce)
  • Aug. 5: Jamaican Burger (topped with a Jamaican jerk sauce, spring mix, papaya salsa and tomatoes)
  • Aug. 6: Quinoa Sliders (quinoa-and-cheese patties topped with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions)
  • Aug. 7: Meatballer (Sicilian meatballs on a demi-baguette with provolone, basil and marinara sauce)
  • Aug. 8: BBQ Cheddar Bacon Burger (topped with bbq sauce, cheddar cheese, bacon and pickles)
  • Aug. 9: Dessert Burger (vanilla cupcake “bun” with a brownie “burger” and traditional toppings made from buttercream frosting)
  • Aug. 10: The Reuben (topped with pastrami, 1000 island dressing, swiss cheese and sauerkraut)
  • Aug. 11: Double Double (two patties topped with double cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles and served with dip trio of a roasted garlic aioli, pineapple-mint-cilantro salsa and ketchup)
  • Aug. 12: Hey Shorty Burger (topped with braised short ribs and spring mix)
  • Aug. 13: The Argentinian (topped with provolone cheese, house-made chimichurri sauce, arugula and tomatoes)
  • Aug. 14: Chip and Dip Burger (topped with choice of cheese, French onion dip, Kettle chips, lettuce, tomatoes and onions)
  • Aug. 15: Yellowstone Burger (ground bison patty topped with choice of cheese, crispy onions, lettuce and tomatoes)
  • Aug. 16: Po-Boy (crab cakes on a demi-baguette topped with spring mix, tomatoes and Tabasco aioli)
  • Aug. 17: Portobello Burger (portobello topped with spring mix, tomatoes, onions and pesto)
  • Aug. 18: Teriyaki Turkey Burger (ground turkey topped with grilled pineapple, Swiss cheese and sesame slaw)
  • Aug. 19: Open Faced Meatloaf Burger (meatloaf patty served open-faced with mozzarella, roasted onions and truffle ketchup)
  • Aug. 20: Dragon Burger (topped with pulled pork in five-spice Asian BBQ sauce, napa cabbage slaw and sesame seeds)
  • Aug. 21: 3 Amigos Burger (topped with chorizo, cheddar cheese, roasted jalapenos, lettuce, onions and side of Ranch dressing)
  • Aug. 22: Ahi Tuna Burger (ahi tuna topped with an Asian slaw and wasabi mayo)
  • Aug. 23: Black Bean Burger (black bean patty with mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and roasted red pepper aioli)
  • Aug. 24: Oven-Dried Tomato and Goat Cheese Burger (topped with spring mix and onions)
  • Aug. 25: Tex-Mex Burger (topped with pico de gallo, white cheddar, lettuce and avocado)
  • Aug. 26: Weekender (topped with choice of cheese, Liberty potatoes, bacon and sunny-side up egg)
  • Aug. 27: Loaded Baked Potato Burger (topped with bacon-and-whipped-potato mixture and cheddar cheese on an onion roll)
  • Aug. 28: Volcano Burger (topped with pepperoni, mozzarella cheese and spicy jalapeno garlic spread)
  • Aug. 29: French Onion Burger (topped with caramelized onions, gruyere cheese and horseradish aioli)
  • Aug. 30: Anchor Porter Burger (topped with Anchor Porter cheese sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and onion)
  • Aug. 31: Foie Gras Burger (topped with pan-seared foie gras, spring mix and sel gris on a brioche bun)
  • Aug. 31: Filet Oscar Burger (filet with lump crabmeat, asparagus and sauce bernaise on a brioche bun)

Those who eat 10 burgers in the series will get a $25 gift card. Anyone who eats all 31 gets a $100 gift card. (And, yes, there have been people who’ve eaten all 31 in past years.)
