Fox Cigar Bar in Gilbert hosts a New Belgium tap takeover Friday. The Fort Collins, Colo., brewery will bring a modest six beers, but they will include two Belgian-style ales that never before have been on draft in Arizona: Abbey and Trippel.
Abbey, a dubbel ale, is New Belgium’s most-honored beer, winning four medals at the World Beer Cup and eight medals at the Great American Beer Fest.
There also will be three beers from the brewery’s Lips of Faith series: Tart Lychee, a barrel-aged sour; Biere de Mars, a traditional spring seasonal; and Brett Beer, a wild-yeast collaboration with California’s Lost Abbey.
The sixth beer will be Belgo, a Belgian IPA.
The event runs 6-10 p.m.
