Tonight: Odell pilot brews on tap for Whole Foods Chandler’s ‘Friday Beer Class’

By Jess Harter Friday, July 27, 2012

Colorado’s Odell Brewing will be the subject of tonight’s Friday Beer Class at the Watering Hole inside Whole Foods Chandler.

Among the beers on tap will be four from Odell’s pilot brewing system: Footprint, Sabotuer, Shenanigans and Pond Hopper.

Saboteur is an oak barrel-aged Brown Ale (10% ABV), while Shenanigans is an oak-aged Crimson Ale (9.1%).

Pond Hopper (8.9%), a collaboration with England’s Thornbridge Brewery, is a Double Extra Pale Ale.

Footprint (9.5%) is a tribute to the 10 states where Odell’s beers are available. It’s made with a collection of ingredients from each state, including prickly pear from Arizona.

The brewery’s Double Pils also will be on tap.

The informal “class,” open to anyone 21 or over, is $5. It starts at 7 p.m.
