Maricopa County’s animal shelter in Mesa is in desperate need of dog food. If you’d like to donate some but don’t want to deliver it all the way over to the shelter, here’s another option:
Pittsburgh Willy’s is collecting dog food from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Bring in a bag of dry food (10 pounds or larger) or a couple cans, and the Chandler hot dog shop will give you a free Big Willy quarter-pound hot dog.
Pittsburgh Willy’s will deliver all the food to the Mesa shelter, along with a card signed by donating customers.
The shelter, which has less than a week’s supply of food, especially needs puppy food and canned dog food.
