World of Beer to open Aug. 8 on Mill Avenue, will feature 58 craft beers on tap

World of Beer Tempe AZWorld of Beer, a Florida-based chain of craft beer bars, will open next Wednesday, Aug. 8, on Mill Avenue in downtown Tempe. The 3,300-square-foot space will have 58 beers on tap and 500-plus in bottles and cans.

Opening-week festivities will include:

  • Wednesday, Aug. 8: Doors open at noon. The Black Bottom Lighters perform 9 p.m.-midnight.
  • Thursday, Aug. 9: Ladies Night (ladies get half-off select drafts). Singer Angela Ferrari performs 9 p.m.-midnight.
  • Friday, Aug. 10: Jake Dean performs 9 p.m.-midnight
  • Saturday, Aug. 11: The first “Brewery Spotlight” will feature a special lineup of Four Peaks beers. Food truck Short Leash Hot Dogs will be on site non-6 p.m.

WOB takes over the 100-year-old Tempe National Bank building on the northwest corner of Mill Avenue and Sixth Street.
