Chandler restaurants step up to help ailing Urban Tea Loft owner Thursday

By Jess Harter Wednesday, August 1, 2012

Urban Tea Loft Chandler AZTwo weeks ago, Urban Tea Loft owner Glynis Legrand revealed her husband, Eric, was undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumor. The couple were closing their five-year-old downtown Chandler eatery to focus on his recovery.

Thankfully, Glynis says her husband is “doing really well.” And now several Chandler restaurants are stepping up to help.

The restaurants will donate a portion of all sales Thursday to the Legrands to help with their medical bills.

Participating are Floridino’s, Dilly’s Deli, Pittsburgh Willy’s, Coach and Willie’s, Jimmy and Joe’s, Chase’s Diner, The Living Room, The Sushi Room, El Zocolo, BLD and Latitude Eight.

Because of Thursday’s National IPA Day activities, SanTan Brewing will donate from sales today.
