R.T. O’Sullivan’s announces original Mesa location will close Aug. 25

MXSW reader Ron Youngblood passes along this announcement: The original R.T. O’Sullivan’s, on Southern just east of Alma School in Mesa, is closing its doors Saturday, Aug. 25.

Since opening 15 years ago, the spacious sports grill, which has more than 80 TVs, had added two other locations in Mesa, including one earlier this year on Stapley just south of the U.S. 60 – less than four miles from the original.

R.T. O’Sullivan’s is planning a big goodbye party for the Southern location: There’ll be a free buffet from 5-8 p.m. on the final day, as well as $2 U-Call-Its from 5-close.
