Gilbert approved the liquor license for the town’s first microbrewery, Arizona Wilderness Brewing Company, Thursday night.
The brewery will be located on the southeast corner of Arizona Avenue and Guadalupe Road. The space formerly was Korean BBQ joint QQ Grill.
The license application lists Arizona Wilderness Brewing as a 50-50 partnership between John Buford, an East Valley home brewer, and Brett Dettler, whose family owns Trophy’s Steakhouse in Queen Creek.
