Nicantoni’s Pizza is hosting a pair of September fundraisers for the Arizona Burn Center.
On Thursday, Sept. 6, firefighters will talk about fire safety during a special Bike Night at the Gilbert pizzeria.
Burn center representatives will be on hand to accept donations of toys and kids’ books for children receiving treatment at the center.
On Saturday, Sept. 22, Nicantoni’s will be the starting point for the burn center’s annual Charity Ride. At noon, motorcycle and hot rod enthusiasts will begin a scenic drive to the Roadrunner Restaurant in New River.
Registration is $25 for drivers and $15 for passengers, and includes T-shirt, raffle ticket and wristband for access at the Roadrunner. Last year’s charity ride raised $17,000.
The Arizona Burn Center in Phoenix is the second-largest in North America, serving several Southwest states and northern Mexico.
