Tonight: Hungry Monk taps Oskar Blue’s G’Knight – on nitro

At 6 p.m. tonight, the Hungry Monk will be pouring Oskar Blues’ G’Knight imperial red ale on a nitro tap.

For the uninitiated, infusing a beer with nitrogen creates a denser, creamier foam that adds a terrific mouthfeel to the beer.

Nitrogenation is most often associated with stouts, but breweries increasingly have been experimenting with other styles.

Tonight’s event also will feature the Longmont, Colo., brewery’s Deviant Dale’s IPA and Mama’s Little Yella Pils on regular taps.
