You have about a month to enter your favorite homemade dessert in Flancer’s fourth annual Dessert Showdown.
To enter, just bring a sample of the dessert and a copy of the recipe into either Flancer’s location – Gilbert or Mesa – by Oct. 12.
If you win, your dessert will be featured on Flancer’s menu for a year with a portion of the proceeds donated to your favorite charity.
Last year’s winner, Turtle Cheesecake (pictured) by Jennifer Madigan, earned $2,300 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The winner also receives a trophy and $100 Flancer’s gift certificate.
Desserts will be judged on visual appeal, taste, ease of recipe, availability of ingredients, and originality. The finalists will compete Sunday, Oct. 14, at the Mesa restaurant.
