Great news for fans of Flancer’s longtime Gilbert location: The tiny eatery is expanding its dining area.
Construction work begins today on enclosing the restaurant’s patio and removing the wall between the current dining room and patio.
Roll-up, garage-door-style windows will allow diners throughout the new dining room to enjoy dining al fresco on pleasant days.
Flancer’s, known for its delicious sandwiches and pizzas, currently seats just 48 people. In the past, the patio accommodated about 30 more.
The restaurant won’t know its new capacity until remodeling work is finished.
The work is expected to take up to six weeks. Toward the end of the project, Flancer’s will close for a couple days while the interior remodeling is completed.
