Big Sky Brewing will celebrate a special release of its Big Sky Double IPA from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Flanny’s in Tempe.
The limited-release beer (7.8% ABV) – billed as “an extravaganza of hops and malts” – is hopped with Centennial, Simcoe, and Chinook, combined with Carapils, Crystal, and Pale malts.
The Missoula, Mont., brewery also will bring its new seasonal, Slow Elk oatmeal stout, and its flagship Moose Drool brown ale.
Also, 750ml bottles of 2011 Old Blue Hair barley wine will be available.
Brewery rep Don Cutler will be giving away pint glasses, and there will be a raffle of cool prizes.
