SanTan Brewing, which celebrated its fifth anniversary this month, hosts its annual Oktoberfest from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday.
The highlight of his year’s fest, which takes place just outside the downtown Chandler brewery in A.J. Chandler Park, is a rare local performance by the nationally known Valley band Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers.
A German-style beer garden will be pouring SanTan’s Oktoberfest ale, a traditional German lager with an ABV of 5.5%.
Von Hanson’s Meats will be selling bratwurst prepared with SanTan’s Epicenter ale. There’ll be a brat-eating contest at 6:30.
Other activities include a beer pong tournament, bag toss, stein races, keg rolling, keg stacking, tricycle races, and a bounce house for kids.
The Bad Cactus Brass Band will perform German polka and waltzes from 1-5 p.m. Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers will take the stage at 7 for a 1-hour, 45-minute set.
Tickets are $15 if purchased in advance at the brewery, or $20 at the gate.
